How does the video signal of the led electronic display operate?

The led electronic display has become a new medium for transmitting information in our lives. It not only shows people colorful pictures, but also has the effect of beautifying the city. So how does the LED electronic display display various information such as text, graphics, animation, images, and video programs.



Since LED Light module-emitting diodes are semiconductor components, the switching time is calculated in seconds, there is no memory function, the display area is large, and the signal transmission interval is long, and the most advanced COG, SOB and other large-scale circuit methods cannot be used. Therefore, the LED The screen is more difficult than other flat panel displays in terms of driving, reducing power consumption, improving power, color retention, and consistency. The led electronic display is a digital flat panel display, it has two methods of processing image signals:



The first: multimedia method, usually called the synchronized screen method.



This method is to capture the TV signal with an ordinary multimedia card, and perform mediation, filtering, and tone separation. After the image signal is converted by A/D, it is encoded and compressed by MPEG for storage. When we play it, we need to decompress it, and then play it directly on the computer monitor.



The signal to transmit the large screen is obtained from the DVI interface of the computer or the graphics card through a dedicated interface card, and some processing is required on the interface card. At this time, the large screen is actually equivalent to a computer monitor or a part of it, usually called a window, which can realize a one-to-one corresponding synchronous display. Since computer monitors are scanned line by line, if there is no frame extraction processing on the transmission signal, the display format of the large screen will be the format of the monitor.



The second type: use a dedicated large-screen signal processor.



It converts the interlaced TV signal into a progressive scan signal after processing, and then plays it on the LED electronic display. The high-performance processor can handle more than 10 bits, and interpolation operations, motion prediction and compensation, and scan conversion are required when scanning conversion. Nowadays, large-scale LED screens also use this method, and perform more image signal processing, trying to upgrade the signal to the broadcast level, and of course the effect is better. Computer images are also processed by this processor, and then transmitted to the large screen for display.



The large-size rear projection TVs and plasma large-screen TVs that we are familiar with are widely used in this method, and the effect is much better than ordinary TVs. In this case, the output signal is usually described in terms of the converted signal format, which is more accurate.
