diy skyrim monopoly board with arduino led lights

by:Demo     2020-07-30
This is a Monopoly board with the theme of backlight Skyrim.
Use custom game boards, strips, Arduino, some wood products, epoxy and Photoshop (In my case, Gimp)
There are also many 3d printing components.
Parts List: The first step is to make a wooden frame for the board.
I made a Exterior view with Maple board.
I did this by cutting the boards with a table saw in the print I attached to this step to spec.
The larger cut at the top of each board is where you will place the polycarbonate sheet that will hold the board and act as the perspective bottom of the lamp.
Another cut is the base with the bottom seal.
The bottom will also serve as an area for drawers and installation of electronic equipment as well as an area for standby 9 v batteries.
After you cut the 4 pieces of wood outside, stick them together to form a square.
You don\'t need any kind of stand to hold it.
The frame structure between wood glue and epoxy resin should be reasonable.
Be sure to cut out a place for the drawer and keep the part you cut as it will serve as the front end of the drawer.
You can also drill.
5 \"hole if you are adding wall socket power input.
After the frame glue is dried, apply the large inner lip to black and dye the rest of the Ebony.
The key measurement is to ensure that there are at least 21 \"x 21\" inside at the top of the frame \".
You can place your polycarbonate and the actual game board here.
The base plate of the base plate has some high quality boards.
25 \"thick, cut them into squares covering the bottom of the board.
After you cut them, dry them into the bottom of the frame to make sure it fits.
Apply the wood glue, press on the bottom of the frame and hold them when the wood glue is dry.
After drying, stain with ebony.
You can also continue to stick the drawer slide in the drawer.
Make sure the bottom plate is removable as you need to process it before fixing it to the rest of the Assembly.
I press and hold my baseboard with screws so it can be disassembled in case I need to get into the playboard after I finish.
Drawers are made of drawers.
High quality board.
Create a simple drawer by cutting the bottom and 3 other parts to act as walls.
My drawer is shallow and wide.
The most important part here is to make sure to use the part you cut off from the frame wall as the front.
In addition, be sure to stick the drawer.
25 \"above flush with the bottom of the front of the drawer.
This is allowed.
25 \"will be located on the base plate at the bottom of the entire assembly.
I did glue processing in two steps.
The first is the long side wall fixed to the bottom/bottom.
The second method is to stick the end cap together with a clip and glue.
Once the drawer is stuck together, get it dirty.
For the Poly Film, make sure its thickness is at least. 25\".
Under a very small weight, anything else is distorted. ----------------------------------Poly-Calcium carbonate sheet-----------------------------------
Cut your poly into a square of 21 \"x 21.
I cut mine with a table saw and it worked fine except for the bad smell.
You can also cut it like glass with a grading method.
Insert the frame after cutting the square Poly sheet, just use some kind of adhesive or sealant to put it on the top of the frame.
I used hot glue because the cauldron was everywhere on the Poly sheet and made it look bad, so the reputation was bad.
Once you have it glued and sealed, let it sit down and dry.
Note that it is attached to a deeper cut on the frame wall. The shallower .
25 \"the bottom plate at the bottom is a square cut. ---------------------------------------Game Board----------------------------------------
I use laser etching and cutting everything at work.
You can put any type of game board into the game you want.
The resin will be dumped without destroying almost all materials including paper.
If you are concerned about the impact of the resin on the cardboard material, please do some testing on the raw material to see what happens.
I designed my board in solidworks and I will include its DXF if you are interested in using it.
Once you have a custom game board, put it on the top of the Poly and stick it down.
Make sure it stays flat on the Poly so that when you make your resin pour it doesn\'t cause any edges to be lost and distorted inside the resin.
It\'s really just a problem I\'m having when using thin metal plates, but in any case, just make sure your game board is flat.
The adhesive I use is called Goop.
The electronic products of this project are basically divided into two areas.
The strip mounted at the bottom of the polycarbonate board, and installed on the rest of the base plate, which is located at the bottom of the wooden frame connected to the bottom plate. -----------------------------------------LED Strips------------------------------
Please note that it will take a long and long time.
The way I do this is that I measured all the distances and partially welded all the welds.
Part 1 all these LEDs are welded in series.
From the lowest value attribute, run to the highest value.
Considering that they are in series, you can simply measure how long each wire will take and how many LEDs will be needed for each dots.
I have used 5 LEDs anywhere and either has 2 connected LEDs and 2 LEDs.
For example, in the first row is: dewatts> Monthly lights> wires> Monthly lights> line monthly lights> wires> Monthly lights> solid tiles.
I welded all my lights and wires to finish the whole performance board and then went back to heat and glued all the lights and wires so they were fine and tight.
Note that you need to weld in one of the 3 pin connectors at the beginning of the first part.
This will serve as a fast disconnect server from other electronic devices on the motherboard.
The Empire/Storm cloak mission Card area is fairly simple.
However, it is important to note that both are connected in parallel.
This means that you will have 3 lines coming off from the first part marked with GND, 5 v and DI.
What you need to do is, for each wire that comes off the first part, curl or bundle all the LED strips together.
For example, you will weld a thread at each 5 v point on the LED srips that go through any task card point, and then curl all these points together to one end of a single but connected electrical.
You will then run the 5 v wire from the first to the other end of the docking and curl it.
Therefore, each of the 3 lines from the first part will be connected to each line that enters the task card bar.
To connect a task card area to the next task card area, simply recreate the operation of connecting the first part to the first task card area.
On any of the parallel strips in the first task card area, run one of each line: GND, 5 v, and DI to the next task card area.
Then use the middle docking to insert each wire into each LED strip in the task card area.
Part 4 Skyrim name logo is an area with 4 LED strips running in parallel on the name.
This will be installed in a very similar way to the task card area.
Weld a short lead on 4 light strips at the beginning of each input, GND, 5 v and di led light strip.
Then curl all 4 wires of each type together to make them a single input and run your single line from the previous task area and also curl.
At the end of an LED strip on the Skyrim name logo, you will need to weld 3 wires as output to get into the Skyrim dragon logo.
Part 5 The Skyrim dragon logo is the long run of a series of LED lights that sweep the length of the Dragon logo back and forth.
Weld all your LEDs with wires, bend \"U\" between each row, and then glue with hot glue. -------------------------------------
Bottom/substrate of electronic products----------------------------------
Arduino Uno and Buck converters for Uno and Buck converters, you will want to use hot glue or fix them on a substrate under a large area that is not used on the game board.
Measure where it is best to stick them.
Be sure to stick them together so that the distance between them is very short.
The on/off switch has two on/off switches, one for battery power and one for wall power.
The important thing is never to open both at the same time.
You only need to drill two switches.
75 holes next to the buck converter and slide them in.
You should have two pins for current on each switch, the third one is a different color, and even if there is no power supply, keep the LED on the button on.
By connecting some female terminals together, connect the two electrical pins together and run them to the input of the step-down converter.
This should leave an electric plug on each button to run to a battery or wall socket.
9 v BatteryI put my 9 v battery stand in the drawer entrance of each channel.
I printed my 9 v battery stand in 3d, but you can easily purchase the stand on Amazon.
From there, simply connect the positive and ground wires on the battery stand to the buck converter/button area.
Insert the GND wire into the GND side of the step-down converter and insert the front into a pin that is still open on a button.
Make sure to glue the power cord at a reasonable interval to prevent the cord from moving around.
Wall sockets with wall-based power supply you need to turn the power on and splice to show the red and black wires.
Starting from here, connect it to the red and back wires on the 3-pin connector using two docking electrical crimps.
Connect the wall power supply to one side of the docking joint and connect the 3-pin connector to the other side.
Wrap with tape from here for safe connection.
Now you should have a wire with a wall power supply at one end and one of the 3-pin connectors at the other.
Make sure to use the correct 3-pin connector ,(male vs female).
Wall socket input is quite simple.
Get another 3-pin connector, opposite the one you use for wall sockets, and connect the red and black wires using the docking connector.
From here you will need to attach it to the base plate, but leave enough slack on the wire so you can pass it through the holes drilled on the frame for wall power supply.
Take a look at my photos and find out how much slack is left off the wire.
LED strip inputo create LED output connector you need to run a 5 v wire from the Buck converter and 1 GND wire from the Buck converter or Arduino Uno, A digital pin line from arduino uno to 3-pin connector is the opposite of the pin line you used for the bottom of the LED board.
Heat-bonded wires, connect the 3-pin connectors to the same area where the LED connectors are placed in order to lock them together when the box is finally closed.
I am a fan of arduino and want to incorporate it into this project.
Considering that I wanted the project to be relit, I decided to control the strip with arduino uno and also included some light effects for random areas and random time intervals.
This makes the lights not stagnant and boring as the game goes on.
There is also an animation when the motherboard is turned on to add more content.
I have the arduino code included in this step of instructable.
Connecting Arduino is very simple, only one pin is output from digital pin 2.
With all the other pins you can add something else as well.
Just like a sensor to detect pieces that go through, and when anyone goes through go, or goes to jail, it produces animations, it\'s your project and you can do all sorts of things.
However, this is a fairly basic step that takes the most time.
You need a lot of 1 to 1 epoxy.
The important part of this step is cleaning.
Make sure the work area is very clean, no bugs flying around or animal hair floating around, no dust.
Make sure you put your frame and your board and polycarbonate board on something and protect the area under the board if your resin goes through your adhesive.
Make sure your motherboard is thoroughly cleaned.
After that, you will be ready to pour the resin.
Since this board is themed on Skyrim, during the game, the opportunity/Community Chest card has been renamed Empire/Storm guest mission regarding the ongoing civil war in Skyrim.
The cards are modified to show events based on Skyrim, not typical monopoly events.
I created my card in Gimp, but you can use any kind of photo editing software you have.
I have only attached my final card, not the Gimp file, due to the file size.
I also include a pdf with each card.
To do this, all you need to do is load the card stock print paper into your printer and print both sides from the PDF file \"all cards.
\"I use microsoft publisher to arrange them to print on a single page.
Once they are printed out, all you need to do is cut them off and laminate them.
After that, remove the excess sadness and your cards.
I want to exchange my money with coins.
To do this, I made a simple 3d model for each coin I wanted and uploaded it to my 3d printer.
I printed out each group of coins and drew them.
If you also want to 3d print your code, I have attached my gcode file to this step.
Farm and Castle ,(
Apartments and hotels)
I did the same thing for my \"farm and Castle\" or apartment and hotel.
I made a few simple 3d models in solidworks and then 3d printed all the models.
After that I drew them and they were ready.
In this step, I also provide gcode/STL files for this.
I downloaded some free stl files from various websites and printed them.
You can download anything you want.
Thingverse is a good start.
If it\'s hard for you to find works of similar size/style, try to see the creators of Dungeons and Dragons.
They usually have similar races and sizes for the defined board sizes.
come in many forms, like led light engine and dob led pcb, and they all provide efficient solution for our led light engine module needs.
To live healthy, you need to eat healthy; to eat healthy, you need to think healthy; to think healthy, you need to read health; to read healthy, you need to follow Demo Led Module.
With the market analysts, exports from Demo Photoelectric Technology (Wuxi) Co., Ltd. facilities in China will surpass the forecast.
