After a lot of speculation and hype, Samsung has finally released most of the details of its 2018 TV series --
Initial pricing is included.
To a large extent, it looks like a step forward from Samsung\'s inconsistent 2017 series --
In particular, a new 8k model with \"fine-tuning
LED Light module\" technology was introduced, and direct LED lighting with local dimming was used in some new 4k devices.
Samsung is also significantly more competitive in price, and its 2018 premium \"qled\" series is more competitive than the 2017 equivalent series.
While the information below has been confirmed for the US market, I should stress that there are still some potential international changes in NU midrange series.
I will update this article when I finally confirm where these regional differences may occur --
Despite the fact that differences may not be profound;
Maybe just move the range numbers of one or two series up or down.
Samsung is also likely to add some \"budget\" NU models later this year.
When these details are confirmed, I will update the article accordingly again.
The new QLED model si provides
In this separate article, gain insight into the main new features of the 2018 qled TV.
So, to keep it simple, I\'m going to stick here to a basic breakdown of the key differences between each new QLED series.
Serisn series screen size (prices): 85-inch (
$ TBC but maybe tens of thousands of dollars)
Direct LED lighting and the new \"micro\" resolution is 8k
Provides accurate LED Light module control systems for thousands of dimming areas.
It is likely that it will not be available until the second half of the year.
My first impression of the action sn series can be found here.
Screen size serinterferon series (prices): 75-inch ($5,999. 99), 65-inch ($3,799. 99/£3,799), 55-inch (
2,799, Europe only)

Hundreds of areaslikely 450-500).
It is said that the brightness of the flagship model reached 2000 nit peak
Nice to find a 55-
The inch model included in the flagship series this year, even if this 55-
There is no plan to launch the inch model in the United States.
The Q9FN also offers 60 w, 4. 2-
Channel sound system
My full review of 65Q9FN can be found here.
Q8FN series screen size (prices): 75-inch ($4,799. 99), 65-inch ($2,999. 99), 55-inch ($2,199. 99)4K resolution.
In the US, they will use direct LED lighting and local dimming, but the dimming area is much less than the Q9FN.
The sound output drops to 40w in 4. 1-
Channel configuration.
In Europe, Edge LED lighting will appear on the Q8FN TV with a brightness lower than Q9FN.
As reported here, a petition has been started to try to convince Samsung to also direct lighting in the European Q8FN. Q8CN series (Europe only)Screen sizes (prices): 65-inch, 55-
Inch4 K resolution TV with edge LED lighting and local dimming.
Basically a curved version of the European Q8FN. Q7CN series (US only)Screen sizes (prices): 65-inch ($2,699. 99), 55-inch ($1,999. 99)
Curved 4k resolution TV with edge LED lighting and local dimming.
The peak brightness is still 1500 nits.
This is the most upscale curved TV in Samsung\'s American series.
Q7FN series screen size (prices): 75-inch ($3,999. 99), 65-inch ($2,599. 99), 55-inch ($1,899. 99)

Basically a tablet version of the US Q7CN model.
Q6FN series screen size (prices): 82-inch ($4,499. 99), 75-inch ($3,499. 99), 65-inch ($2,199. 99), 55-inch ($1,499), 49-inch ($TBC)
4k resolution TV with edge LED lighting.
However, they only have a \"frame\" dimming instead of a local dimming, which means that the contrast is greatly reduced.
The peak brightness also dropped to about 1000 nits.
It is also worth noting that while the sound output remains the same level of 40w as the Q7 series, only 2 is provided here. 1-
Channel configuration.
Q6FNs is also the only ultra that did not come from Samsung in 2018-
Thin \"invisible connection\" design features.
In addition, they have a more basic stand design and do not support the \"gaply\" wall support of the other 2018 qled.
The TVs of the NU Series 2018 use \"standard\" LED technology instead of Samsung\'s metal-
Cladding quantum dots found in the QLED model.
This means that they cannot provide such extreme brightness and color.
It is also worth noting that with Q9FN and (US)
Q8FN model, NU model does not use contrast-
Friendly Direct LED lighting with LED at the back of the screen.
They\'re all fringe. lit. The pay-
Of course, they are much cheaper than Samsung\'s QLED models compared to NU models.
NU8500 series screen size (prices): 65-inch ($1,799. 99), 55-inch ($1,299. 99)
The NU8500 series is a curved 4k model that supports HDR.
In fact, as with all Samsung\'s QLED series, the NU8500 will support Samsung\'s new HDR10 platform (
And its dynamic metadata)
As well as the industry standard HDR10 platform.
The NU8500 series adopts Samsung (pre-QLED)
Dynamic crystal color technology provides a wider range of colors than ordinary LCD TVs.
Its edge LED system has a local dimming function where separate lamp segments can output different amounts of brightness to suit the image.
Although it will not be as accurate as direct LED lighting and a TV with local dimming.
The NU8500s also maintains the same smart engine as the Samsung QLED model (
Including the Bixby voice assistant system in the United States)
And still supports Samsung\'s new automatic game mode feature.
Their advanced stand design features new cables
Organize the system and see the cable through the back of the bracket to support the \"neck.
Screen size (prices): 82-inch ($3,999. 99), 75-inch ($3,499. 99), 65-inch ($1,699. 99), 55-inch ($1,199. 99), 49-inch ($999. 99)
The series is basically equivalent to the flat screen of the NU8500 series.
Therefore, the only thing it lacks is the automatic depth enhancement processing for all Samsung curved TVs.
NU7300 series screen size (prices): 65-inch ($1,399. 99), 55-inch ($799. 99)
It goes back to the curved screen design for this stepdown series.
There is a direct aesthetic difference between this series and another series.
However, the curved NU8500, because the NU7300 series uses a pair of feet hidden under each corner of the screen, rather than the central connection bracket of the NU8500.
However, there are still attempts to keep the cable tidy by installing the built-in channel at the rear of the \"pedal\" on the left.
The NU7300s lost the dynamic crystal color system used on the NU8x00s and instead got the Samsung narrow spectrum PurColor engine.
They also don\'t seem to apply any local dimming on the edge LED lighting system, but can only dim or lift all the LED together.
The smart features are roughly similar to the nu8x00, but do not support the automatic game mode of the Bixby voice assistant or the more expensive NU model.
Please also note that the NU7300s is only 20w 2-
Compared to the 40w of the NU8x00s, the channel sound system has only three HDMIs, while the NU8x00s has only four.
NU7100 series screen size (prices): 75-inch ($2,399. 99), 65-inch ($1,099. 99), 55-inch ($899. 99), 50-inch ($749. 99)
These are basically flat versions of the NU7100s. --
